About Jerry

I trained and practiced as an architect until 1980, when a desire to work more with people meant change of direction. I became involved in special education, working with emotionally disturbed children for 10 years, and I have been working in therapeutic situations ever since. This meant learning many new skills: listening, trying to understand what is going on for people, and working with more traditional psychotherapeutic means to help create change. It was therefore with fascination that I discovered just how much more direct, powerful and rapid the use of hypnosis could be in creating change, and I qualified in this discipline in 1999.

Although I was brought up in Birmingham I had always wanted to live in the country. Moving to Ross-Shire in 1974 was a life changing experience, and within a year of arriving we had embarked upon the project of renovating and repairing the long derelict 16 Lochussie. In the years since we have created a beautiful house and productive organic garden. Visitors often remark upon the sense of peace here, and this can be a subtle influence in work that we do. I have always been interested in gardens and garden design and enjoy greatly being in the outdoors, particularly walking and cycling.

As a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy, I am governed by a strict Code of Ethics and carry full practice insurance.
